The day begins, at the Hilton Hotel, Gateshead.

I find the wedding rings, which Annie and David have made themselves in a jewellers workshop in Edinburgh

They really did make them !
They started with solid billets of platinum and gold,
then machined them into shape . .
I'm quite amazed at the whole concept !.

I try to do something meaningful with the rings,
echoing the shape of the Tyne bridge in the distance.

We take advantage of the tremendous view that the hotel affords, & also take a picture, showing three of Newcastle's bridges.

(Annie and David are a little unconventional
and planned their wedding day in a really personal way,
they set out from a hotel together,
and walked up the aisle together . .
different . .

but hey . . long live individuality !

I'm not leaving an ultra modern building without something looking cool. .

here, we're playing with reflections in a pool

well . . I am.

they're playing their own game !

Here, David proves that he can look cool and calm even though a fire hydrant has just exploded behind him.

Ah, you say . . but where does Langley Castle fit into all of this ?

well . . this little girl is a bridesmaid, and she's at Langley . . waiting for the bride !

If you've ever spent sleepless nights
trying to work out how a harpist transports her harp . here's the answer.

You hadn't spent sleepless nights . . .

Anyway,
the simple truth is -

this mean little 3 wheeled harp transporter
can be fitted with a motorcycle engine,
giving tremendous acceleration from 0 - 60.

so if she overtakes you on the motorway . ..

you saw it here first !

Hi there . . we're the bridesmaids !

A small child tries to upset proceedings

(as small children often like to)

two adults well versed in the art of looking after small children, simply dangle him upside down until he calms down . . .

the guy on the right is holding a stopwatch,

one hour 32 mins .. one hour 33 mins

The cake surveys the scene from it's lofty perch.

(at Langley - they tend to place the cake on a table in a window. the window being inset into the very thick castle walls and accessible by a stone step)

Is this lady looking adoringly at her man or what !

I zoom in with a small helicopter mounted lens and focus on Davids speech notes

The same little helicopter gets an aerial shot
of the presents referred to in the notes in Davids speech.

I'm always trying to do something new with a location

this might be a bit different,

but . . .

who want's boring pictures the same as everone elses ??

Oh dear -
he's definitely lost his head over Annie

This was not photographic trickery

Anne actually did remove his head.

Above we see the band,

to the right we see our couple.

Party animals eh !

The evening ends with a firework display,
our couple are swathed in white.

fireworks apparently erupting from the Grooms head . .

I know that I can sort this one out digitally . .
but it's a fun picture !

oh . . and the little UFO at the top left of the picture . .
that's another story !.
