Paul zoomed up to the church on a two wheeled noisy shiny thing.

similar equally noisy shiny things follow in the distance.

a distinct lack of motorcycle helmets here . . . . . . .
must've forgotten them.

I crouch in the road hoping to get dramatic shots of these odd machines whizzing past me on either side.

When the've all gone past and my ears no longer function because of the noise

I begin to consider what might have happened
if even one of these characters was distracted by a pretty girl when he approached me.

(I hadn't warned them that I'd be in the middle of the road)
there'd be a big SPLAT and a flattened photographer.

best not to think about it.

The guys park up and immediately
begin to examine each other

Here - the guy on the right is wondering if the guy on the left looks cooler cos he's in a sharper suit -

but then again he doesn't have ten wing mirrors on his bike.

The sensible set appear - complete with crash helmets.

I should have borrowed one for the shots taken in the road earlier.

quick as a flash, the vicar confiscates the scooters

He does this so quickly
that the boys don't notice.

Here the guys still haven't notice that the bikes have been pinched - are riding around a tight bend.

oops - the guy on the right seems to have fallen off . .

Anna turns up on time - along with her father
who then lets me know that he's a photographer too.

Yikes - he does weddings as well.

I immediately feel self conscious,
but he's a nice guy and simply lets me get on with things.

He smiled and said to me
'wedding photography isn't as easy as it seems is it ?'
I agreed
but it's fun though.

His face filled with happiness and emotion,
Anna's father accompanies her towards the church.

The man from God intercepts Anna and her father in the porch.

A really cool blast of rock music accompanied the procession up the aisle.

nice touch.

our vicar was a cheery chappie.

he spent much of his time at the altar,
explaining that he was wrecked cos he was out drinking the previous night.

he then whispered a few hilarious jokes to the couple, then forgot a hymn.

never mind - he tagged it on later . . .

I liked him - he was at least human and treated the whole occasion as a celebration, or even as the prelude to a party, which in fact it was.

One heck of a breeze takes a firm grip on one heck of a veil.

This picture I like a lot.

(I hope that Paul and Anna do too)

The aforementioned breeze comes in very handy in making Anna look extremely dramatic.

(of course she does anyway - but the breeze helps).

Not to be left out,

Paul joins Anna for a quick kiss.

The veil does the rest.

Here we have some men in suits
on Scooters congregating at a local hostelry.

A clue as to the shared passion of Anna and Paul lies in the wedding invitation.

Yep - they're scooterists.

The live within sight of a local landmark called Souter Lighthouse.

apparently the lighthouse is haunted -
I didn't see anything,
Anna's veil did swirl about a bit . . . .

It might have been the breeze.

A very shy little bridesmaid seeks comfort and wonders what's going on today . . .

We zoom off to Souter Lighthouse,
this is not only a local landmark,
it's a bit of an icon for Paul.

Not quite an obsession - but Paul explained that he really identifies with the place.

So - for that reason - we've came down to the lighthouse to take some pictures.

We abseil down the cliff,
harrassed by noisy seagulls who appear to think that we're trying to invade their nests.

well - no actually - we used a lift,
but the abseiling sounds more interesting.

I've tried variations of this dress in black and white and sepia.

Nothing seems to work as well as colour for this one.

I think that the reason is that the dress is such a powerful colour.

I've chosen backgrounds to make it really sing

like this one for example - yellow/tan coloured rock -
a colour which is opposite to the dress colour.

No comment required on this picture methinks.

Paul finishes off in typical bloke fashion.

i.e.

bloke finds flat pebble - notices lots of water.

whaddya do next ?

well - if you're a bloke - you skim stones . . .

sorry girls - this is a bloke thing,
I can't really explain it - but I understand it.

anyway - it's his wedding day - he can do whatever he likes !

the very individual, special and unusual wedding of Annamarie Wiley and Paul Richardson.

I really enjoy anything a bit out of the ordinary, and this wedding was anything but ordinary.
