a series of images in which shadows hint at a very sensual form.
The cute thing is that although well all know what's there,
there's so much use of shadow,
that most of the image is created in the mind of the spectator.

the images would be pretty well anonymous were it not for the huge hint in bold type above . . the girls name !

 

Softly stroking the ground below the girl
is her shadow.

 

because the shadow is as intense on the floor
as it is on her body,
the shadow merges and creates new shapes
which lead the eye around the picture surface.

The light glancing across her arms, hands and feet
is all that really serves to define the girl in this very human image.

Clare reaches upwards to the ceiling in my dark atmospheric studio.

This most astoundingly passionate image
is created with the tiniest, softest,
and most exquisitely controlled burst of light from my flashheads.

 

actually . . . the studio can be dark and atmospheric,
or light and airy . . it's just a question of using the lights in different ways !
